ABOUT THIS DIVISION
Born in Year: 2008, 2009, 2010
Ages (as of January 1st, 2026): 15-17 (18 for female athletes)
The 18U AAA division is the top-tier wood bat division for players who are 15-17 as of January 1 of the baseball year you are registering to play:
- It is most competitive option for this age-group and considered a "rep" program based on competitiveness, skill, experience and commitment is required until the end of the season
- Selection for this team is based on try outs at the start of the year
- Players focus on a few key positions and training specific to those needs
- Entire season is based on "9-man ball" format. Under this format, there is a starting lineup and the non-starters may be required to be on the bench for the entire game
- Wood bats are solely used for this division and metal cleats are preferred
- More commitment and out of town, overnight travel required at this level. There are approximately 3-4 overnight trips, not including Provincials or Westerns if held out of town. The teams travel to and play against teams on Vancouver Island and in the Okanagan.
- A typical season schedule consists of around 40 league games and up to 25 tournament, exhibition, and playoff games
- Team roster size has typically been 13-15 in the past
- The season goal is to qualify for BC Minor Baseball Provincials which could be held anywhere in BC, depending on the host association and is typically played in late July. The winner of the Provincials advances to the Western Nationals at this level in mid-August.
