18 or Under

The 18U Division is for players who are 18 (19 for female athletes) as of Dec. 31st of the current league year. Players who will be 19 as of Dec. 31st also have the option of registering for 18U AA (house), subject to some restrictions which are detailed in the BC Baseball rule book. Contact the registrar prior to registering if you fall into this category.

At the 18U level, the base paths are set at 90 feet and the pitching distance is 60½' (i.e., a full-sized baseball diamond). A regulation game is 7 innings. However, a new inning cannot be started more than 2 hours 15 minutes after first pitch and games may be shortened due to weather or light conditions. Base runners are permitted to lead off, balks are called, and the dropped 3rd strike rule is in effect.
