15U AA

ABOUT THIS DIVISION

Born in Year:  2011, 2012
Ages (as of January 1st, 2026):  13-14 (15 for female athletes)

The 15U AA division is a more competitive option for players who are 13-14 as of January 1 of the baseball year you are registering to play:

  • It is more an Intermediate, competitive level often for players who are ready for a higher challenge than "A" recreational but not yet at the "AAA level"
  • It is considered a "rep" program based on competitiveness, skill, experience and commitment is required
  • There are two teams and selection for these teams are based on try outs at the beginning of the year
  • Players begin to focus on a few key positions and explore training specific to those needs
  • Entire season is based on "9-man ball" format.  Under this format, there is a starting lineup and the non-starters may be required to be on the bench for the entire game
  • More commitment and out of town, overnight travel required at this level.  There are approximately 3-4 overnight trips, not including Provincials or Westerns if held out of town (White Rock, Coquitlam, Victoria, Nanaimo)
  • A typical season schedule consists of around 30+ league games and up to 20 tournament, exhibition, and playoff games
  • Team roster size typically has been 13-15 in the past
  • The season goal is to qualify for BC Minor Baseball Provincials which could be held anywhere in BC, depending on the host association and is typically played in late July.  The winner of the Provincials advances to the Western Nationals at this level in mid-August.

SEASON DATES

  • April until early/mid-August pending on advancement:
    • BC Provincials held at the end of the August
    • If team wins the Provincials, advance to Westerns in mid-August
  • Tryout Dates:

    • 2nd Round Callbacks - January 17 and 18, 2026
