13U AA
ABOUT THIS DIVISION
Born in Year: 2013
Ages (as of January 1st, 2026): 12 (13 for female athletes)
The 13U AA division is a more competitive option for players who are 12 as of January 1 of the baseball year you are registering to play:
- It is a more Intermediate, competitive level often for players who are ready for a higher challenge than "A" recreational but not yet at the "AAA" level
- It is considered a "rep" program based on competitiveness, skill, experience and commitment is required
- Selection for this team will be based on try outs held at the beginning of the year
- Players begin to focus on a few key positions and explore training specific to those needs
- Fair play rules in effect and we bat through the order
- More commitment and travel required at this level (North Shore, Burnaby, Sunshine Coast, Langley, Chilliwack)
- A typical season schedule consists of around 24+ league games and up to 20 tournament, exhibition, and playoff games
- Team roster size has typically been 13-14 players in the past
- The season goal is to qualify for BC Minor Baseball Provincials which could be held anywhere in BC, depending on the host association and is typically early August
SEASON DATES
- Early April until early August
- Tryout Dates: January 10 and 17, 2026 (mandatory for consideration to be on this team)
GAME AND PRACTICE DAYS
- 1-2 practices per week and 2 games per week, expect to be at practices and games 3-4 times per week
- Schedule will be uploaded into TeamSnap by the end of March and is dependent on the release by the BC Minor Baseball Association
DIVISION RULES
- Base paths are set at 70 feet
- Pitchers throw from 48 feet
- Lead offs and stealing are allowed
- Games are 7 innings (new inning cannot be started more than 2 hours 15 minutes after first pitch)
- Balks may be called on pitchers
- Running to 1st base on a dropped 3rd strike is allowed (only if 1st is unoccupied)

PARENT VOLUNTEER DUTIES
As we are a volunteer-run organization, all parents are expected to volunteer to help out with game day duties such as:
- Set up fields
- Scorekeep
- Pitch count
- Gamechanger
